Regularly invited by the major theaters and opera festivals, Paolo Arrivabeni is
especially in demand for Italian and French opera, but he is also particularly
interested in the major Russian and German repertoire, regularly conducting
works by Mahler, Strauss and Mussorgsky. M° Arrivabeni conducted in the past
seasons La Favorite at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, La
Traviata and Macbeth in Dresden, La Forza del Destino and a
Wagnerian Gala in Liège, Il Trovatore at the Sferisterio Opera Festival
in Macerata, Macbeth and Nabucco at the Staatsoper and Maria
Stuarda at the Deustche Oper in Berlin, La Straniera and Moïse et
Pharaon in Marseille, Macbeth in Copenaghen, Fidelio, Tosca, Aida and Les
Pecheures de Perles at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Roberto
Devereux in Florence, Simon Boccanegra in Dresden, Lucrezia
Borgia at the Munich Opera Festival, lately La Cenerentola in Liège, La
Straniera in Vienna, Il Turco in Italia in Munich, Don Giovanni in
Monte Carlo, Un Ballo in Maschera in Palermo.
Future plans: Lucrezia Borgia at the Bayerische Staatsoper in
Munich; I Capuleti e i Montecchi at Deutsche Oper in Berlin; La
Bohème at the New National Theatre in Tokyo and in Rome (Terme in
Caracalla); La Forza del Destino at the Grand Théâtre de Genève; La
Rondine in Toulouse; Boris Godunov and I Due Foscari in
Marseille; Tosca in Dresden; Aida at the Chorégies d'Orange; Maria
Stuarda in Vienna and series of concerts in Paris. In Liège M° Arrivabeni
will conduct Ernani, Die Zauberflöte, La Bohème, Turandot and other
important productions.
